Philip Alston has spent 30 years in Information Technology. Throughout that period he has been employed by quality based organisations including the Kellogg Company of Great Britain, the National Computing Centre and the Electricity Supply Industry. Philip worked for the National Computing Centre for 18 years, much of that time as Group IT Manager, with responsibilities for the development and delivery of the internal systems and delivery management of the company's successful Internet Services Division.
Philip has now developed his own successful independent IT consultancy which aims to provide clients with sensible, no nonsense, advice on all IT matters.

Philip has a highly successful history of systems design, development and maintenance; IT support management; systems auditing; technical interviewing and technical applicant filtering. He has the unusual mix of excellent technical ability and great personal skills. His outstanding ability to accurately understand user requirements and offer appropriate, supplier independent answers gives clients confidence that they are getting the best solution; the solution that fulfils their needs and meets their budget.
Philip has successfully completed projects with clients across a broad range of industries including central and local government; private and public sector schools; universities and commercial businesses of all sizes. He has a wealth of experience in team leadership and management and has implemented ISO9001 and ISO27001 in multi-site, multi-company organisations.
